Brookshine School offers the British Curriculum, O level (I.G.C.S.E). The curriculum is designed to meet the educational needs of students from different backgrounds and even nationalities so that they can have a global experience and perspective to issues. The school has invested heavily in staff, teaching materials and infrastructure.
We offer this curriculum from year 8 to year 11. The O-level IGCSE examination is done at the end of year 11. The subjects offered are as follows: Languages –First Language English, O level English, French, Swahili; Sciences –Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics; Humanities – Geography, History, Religious studies, Literature in English; Technical and Vocational -Computer studies, Business studies.
In year 8 we admit students from standard 7 of the Kenyan 8-4-4 system. Those who have done well in the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (Standard 8) are admitted in year 9 while those in secondary in the 8-4-4 system are placed appropriately after a placement interview.
